Founded in 1998, AxTools has a long standing tradition of providing specialty tools for Microsoft developers. Initially targeting classic Visual Basic developers, the company has steadily expanded its audience to the Visual Studio .NET community by additionally producing tools addressing C#, VB.NET and C++ developers.

Current AxTools products are CodeSMART, Source+ and the VS10x Extensions. Microsoft development environments targeted by thes products are Visual Studio 2002-2013, Visual Basic 6.0 and the Office 2000-2013 VBE.
